What's New at HotSource

2000:

  • March 26th: There isn't too much new on the site as of late. You are still flocking to the site, however, and eating up every bit of information. I would have to say that the single most exiting and important thing happening right now in the webauthoring community is the Mozilla project. Mozilla is an Open Source browser developed by Netscape that has 100% W3C support for HTML 4, CSS1, partial CSS2, DOM, DOM1, DOM2, and XML. The Mozilla Development versions of the browser (READ: pre-beta and still buggy because it is not complete, yet) are available for consumption on Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX (Linux included; my OS of choice). If you want to get involved in saving the web from a mediocre Internet Exploring future please download a nightly build, crash it, and file a bug report.

1999:

  • April 4th: HotSource is now located on a faster, more reliable server. All URL's will stay the same and all information will still be on the site. In other words, the transition will be seamless. This change should equate to faster serving of pages and, hopefully, no more timeouts.

1998:

  • November 1st: HotSource now has it's own Award. It will be given to sites that offer high quality website content; look and feel; and design. Do you have a quality website? Think it's worth of an Award? Then head over to the Award for On-Target Sites page and submit your site.
  • October 25th: November 1st will be the one year anniversary of HotSource! To celebrate this milestone HotSource has a great new look and great new content. I have receive many submissions for Hotsource Webmastery Award; none of which came close to meeting the requirements. If I don't give this award away to at least one site it will be abolished and most likely never will return.
