Hit Counter
Counters are a fun tool for webmasters. A counter 'counts' (some of) your site's trafic by adding one number to your counter each time your page is loaded, this is called a 'hit'. You must realize not all of your visitors will be counted. If the script is not executed because the user has stoped the page from completly loading that 'hit' will not be counted. In the case of a graphical counter, anyone who visits your page with a non image enabled browser will not be counted.
